Business Lending to be monitored - Royal Bank of Scotland

As businesses grow, and more individuals look for money and funding to put into their new businesses, banks are forced into the equation. The Royal Bank of Scotland took a slight blow on Monday morning, when English businessman, Lawrence Tomlinson released a report, by which's results accused RBS' Global Restructuring Group to force their smaller businesses and clients into a situation which made the business go down, but turn profits in the end for RBS itself. Selfish? It doesn't stop! The Royal Bank of Scotland then took another beating later in the day when Sir Andrew Large released a report, which criticised the way RBS treated their smaller business clients. In my opinion, the Royal Bank of Scotland is being a bit biased on their money lending. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) also made a statement saying that the Royal Bank of Scotland is not regulating business expenditure as such, and are not being very tight on this, and is a department that must be looked into. These two reports and one statement were enough, to set RBS off. It has been a week, and they have made an official statement and have a plan ready to be implemented. Taken quite well by RBS, they are employing an independent individual who will monitor, investigate and make sure that business spending as such is regulated, clear and planned.

The Royal Bank of Scotland has shown that they have handled the situation well, but will it work? Will tis individual show skill and responsibility in the situation? We will have to wait and find out I guess!
Ross McEwan, Chief Executive of the Royal Bank of Scotland claims the bank will look into Mr Lawrence Tomlinson's remarks, and will take even further action if necessary.
