The Indian General Elections, 2014

The final results of the elections came out on 16th May 2014, and yes, Narendra Modi has steered Bharatiya Janata Party to victory! After years of Congress rule, they have lost by an absolute landslide. Individually, results were as follows:
Bharatiya Janata Party: 282 Seats (Needed 272 to win)
Indian National Congress: 44 Seats
A spectacular way for BJP to boost into power! Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has tendered his formal resignation, INC President and Vice President, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi respectively, have given their view on the results, accepting responsibility for the loss, and wishing the new government luck.
Modi will take his Prime Ministerial oath on 21st May 2014, and he is already travelling around India to key points giving his speeches. The Special Protection Group of India has shot up a ring of top notch professionals around the PM Designate, and is now travelling in the new Prime Ministerial motorcade. His immediate family members, including his mother and estranged wife will also receive the security.
The famous words said by BJP's Atal Bihari Vajpayee back in 1980 are finally coming true.
"Andhera chattega, suraj nikhlega, kamal khilega". Which means, "the darkness clear away, the sun will come out, the lotus (symbol of the BJP) bloom".
